OhioYesYes$20 for 3 year Traditional Decals (Boat Numbers plus decal displayed on each side); $25 for 3 year Alternative decal (single decal, no boat numbers displayed)Yes$5 of each non-motorized registration goes toward Paddlecraft water access and programingWe offer two options to register paddlecraft. One is using a traditional registration (OH-1234-AB on both sides) that meets USCG number requirement and an alternative registration option that does not meet the standard USCG numbering requirement. Instead, they get one small rectangular sticker to show the boat is registered. It can be displayed in one of three areas of the vessel. It will not contain the standard numbering. As you know, the surface area on a paddlecraft to display proper USCG numbering is small. The alternative registration is smaller and fits easily on the vessel. This means we report 2 numbers for total registrations to the USCG in our final year-end report - those that meet the USCG numbering requirements and then total registered vessels. In 2022, Ohio had 254,940 paddlecraft that register their vessel with an alternative registration. About 50,000 registered their vessel with a traditional registration. Also, the alternative registration costs $5.00 more since we will not receive funding from the USCG for those vessels that are not meeting the USCG numbering requirement,
